Anyone interested in archeology will love this place. Dambulla, a tiny village in Sri Lanka’s North Central district, is home to the “8th Wonder of the World,” an ancient attraction. After killing his father to capture the kingdom, King Kashyapa is claimed to have erected the Sigiriya rock stronghold in the 5th century A.D.
